Classroom Management Plan
Overall Guidelines and Expectations
Be Prompt, Be Responsible, Be Attentive, Be Considerate.
Allow others a positive learning environment.
Classroom Policies/Procedures
Be Prompt:
Entering the Classroom: Students will enter the classroom prepared to begin the warm-up problems/activity. The students should come to into class and grab their folder and pencil. Students should be in their seat when the bell rings and ready to begin class without being prompted to do so. As soon as you come into class, you should start on Daily Reading Practice.
Ending Class: Students are expected to stay in their seats until they are dismissed by the teacher, not the bell. There will be NO LINING UP at the door.
If you are tardy, you will receive a verbal warning and it will be marked in Schoolview. After three tardies, and each tardy thereafter, detention will be assigned. (Every 3 tardies counts as 1 day absent.)
Only one student is allowed out of the room at a time. You may only leave with a pass from a teacher during work time.
If you need to use the bathroom you MUST have a 7th grade bathroom pass. If you do not have a pass you will need to make up 5 minutes with me during your lunch. If you do not make up the time, you will be given a bathroom pass.
Be Responsible: Cell phones are not to be used during class. If they are being used, they will be confiscated and brought to the office.
- Chromebooks must remain under your desk unless you are instructed to take them out.
- Chromebooks must be flat on your desk when in use.
- Chromebooks are only to be used for (your class) related activities (no emailing, messaging, or checking grades unless instructed to do so).
- Teachers have the right to look through your Chromebook.
- If you are using the Chromebook inappropriately, you will be given one warning. If the behavior continues, it will be taken away.
Be Attentive: When the teacher is talking, you need to stop and give your full attention to her.
Be Considerate:
- Respect the people, equipment, and furnishings in the room.
- Adjust your voice level to suit the activity.
- Follow directions the first time they are given.
- Observe all rules in the student handbook.
First time: Non verbal (the look)
Second time: Walk and stand by
